"D3000 tethered shooting?"

Yorkshire, UK

Trying to help a user at another forum. Does anyone have any hard evidence that the D3000 can - or cannot - be used tethered using CCP2 or other software (eg Tether Pro)?

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

CCP2 does not support the D3000.

With other software I don´t know.

Thanks for that, Gerold. It's a bit surprising, given that the D40 & D40x are listed in the Compatible Nikon digital SLRs list for CCP2 on the Nikon website.

According to the Tehter Pro product page, the D3000 should be supported. This product does not provide as much control CCP 2 because it uses the Windows camera control API and CCP 2 uses program hooks in the firm ware.

You might be able to Goggle and find a simple Windows application to control the camera.
