I'm too new to this. I'll be getting my Nikon D5000 around 6/20/09. Question; Will the Tokina 10-17 focus manually? I don't think it has a AF/M switch ... and the camera has (same). Some AF lenses - the manual focus is dis-ingaged. Anyway ; Hi to all ,(don't know if I'm writing this in the right place , looking for the new user Nikon D 5000 area). Oh, other lenses I'm getting ;18-55 VR , 55-200VR. Coming from P+S's, Nikon 8400 , and Canon S5 IS -these two make an awesome travel kit. Thanks , Larry

Larry, welcome to Nikonians.
The Tokina 10-17 will only focus manually with the D5000, as it does not have a built in focus motor, and the camera has no focus motor either. This need not be a problem as you'll get huge depth of field with the 10-17 fisheye. The 18-55 & 55-200 will provide you with AF.
