"Nikon D3000 plus lenses"

ES

Hi guys,

I have a Nikon D3000 with a 18-55mm lens and I'm looking into getting a new lens, something with a more zoom capability.

Any suggestions on what should I look at? Was looking on the 55-200mm since it "starts" where my lens "ends" and I've ready it's a nice combo but would really like some help on deciding for one

Thanks for your help!

I would look at the Nikon 70-300VR, considered one of the best consumer zooms. I don't think you will miss the small gap between your lens and 70mm. You will gain an extra 100mm on the long end as well.

This lens is very sharp and a Nikonian favorite!

Hi Francis,

The 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR DX is good lens at a very low price point. I would recommend getting the VR version as the longer the focal length the more useful VR will be.
If you can stretch your budget, the 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR is significantly better: Optical Quality, Build Quality, Range, ect...
You will not miss the range between 55-70mm very much at all.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

Best Regards,
Marty

Yes, I would recommended the AF-S 70-300. If money is an issue, go for the 55-200.
