The infrared reciever located on the forward side of the hand grip. How does it work if its normally covered by fingers?

Generally speaking, the shooter is usually away from the camera when using an infrared remote, so the hands wouldn't be in the way....

Makes sense now. Didn't realize it was a remote sensor. Manual only says Infrared reciever
