"Battery Charger Question"

Blue Springs, US

We are a dual country family, and the MH-23 battery charger only has 120v listed on the back. However, B & H specs say that it is compatible with 220v. We can't find any specs on the charger or in the book that will give us a clear answer so we can decide whether we can use it with an adapter in England. We are trying to avoid an explosion. Can anyone tell us if 220 works?
Thanks

-Mar

Looks like it depends on the connector on the power cord - it appears to cover the full range - here is a link to a pdf version of the manual I found - see page 7 where it indicates the rated input is 100-240 AC 50/60 Hz (in only hertz a little bit ... )

You may also find this thread helpful (in general switching supplies can handle a wide input range while linear type supplies (with a transformer across the mains) are for a much narrower range).

That's the way my MH-23 is labeled.

This is surprising in this day of switching power supplies.

Do you have other rechargeable batteries?
