Another image I captured last summer. Again I copied one image twice and adjusted the EV's (+2.0 and -2.0). Three images processed in Photomatix with post-processing in Lightroom. Canvas added in Photoshop.

Well, I really liked your Empire State building but this one doesn't work for me; I work in Rosslyn and have never seen this much saturation of blue or yellow.

This image looks like it has potential; have you considered working with the original using something that would bring out drama in the sky for example?

Just wondering, were you at Hains Pt when you took this or on Ohio Drive?

Yeah, Kent....you're right. I drive by here everyday on my way to work, and some mornings the dawn sun reflects on the buildings just right, and the sky is beautifully dark for a real dramatic contrast. This is not the image I saw in my head. I'll see what I can do with it.....and I was on Ohio Dr. when I captured it. The original looks much better than this, but as I said, I was experimenting.

BTW...did you get to Old Town Alexandria and see the railway station?

August, haven't had a chance to visit the railway station, it is on my list to dos. By the way from your image, the Alexendria rail station reminded me of the one at Harper's Ferry, have you been to that one? I took a couple of pictures but nothing came out anywhere close to the ones you took. Maybe I'll try to take just one of those Harper's Ferry ones and convert to HDR.

I was there just last fall on a Sunday morning, but the rail station was so busy that I didn't get inside to look around. As you know, the parking lot by the rail station is where a lot of people park, so it was pretty busy by the time I got there. I'll go back though. BTW the only gallery I have posted is of Harpers Ferry. Take a look, let me know what you think.

Kent, I meant to say "the only album I have posted". Anyway, if you go the the galleries page and click on the "a" to bring up the a submissions, you'll find my images. The Harpers Ferry album is at the top of the page. I did no HDR there.
