"Railcar at night..."

I shot this just the other night. Nothing special, we just had a light snow fall and I was itching to go out and shoot something. The rail car was with in walking distance of my house, it was around 2:00am and very quiet. My dog was along for the trek. This image is comprised of only two timed exposures merged in Photomatix. The merge in HDR did bring out the graffiti on the railcar and add a little presence as opposed to the non HDR rendition. D3, 14-24mm F/2.8 @ 14mm F/8, 250 ISO, 45 & 72 second exposures.

Classic... That's pretty neat seeing what someone else's interpretation of your own photo might be.
Thank's... Jim H

Jim,

Nice composition. Love the atmosphere of the picture. Just curious, what kind of night is it that is so bright? Pardon me for asking, I am living in the tropic where we have summer all year round. The only snow I have is in my kitchen, inside the fridge.

Jiang.

Jiang...
The rail bed is built up maybe 30 feet or so above the surounding area. There is some industry near by and the illumination is comming from street lights located in their lots. Most of the snow has melted in the last two days, I'm feeling a little depressed about that. Hoping we get more snow.
Thank's Jim H.
