"D700: the new BigBlackCamera"

Humor & reflexion about the "need" to acquire the body du jour: my new BigBlackCamera and its effect on my photography.

Don't skip "The Conclusion" & the charts.

Absolutely brilliant. Also convinced me to hang on to my Fuji S5 and perhaps even buy a second body if the rumour about the S5 being Fuji's last dslr proves to be true.

I was expecting more comments about:

"Now with every new camera that I have received my photography has changed a little and progressed and realize now that it was due more to the excitement and newness then the camera itself."

Did you hear the one about a new Fujifilm DSLR based on the D700 body - that would be interesting!

Thank you for the link to John Michael Cooper’s review of his "BigBlackCamera." What a fun article! Guaranteed to make you laugh and think. His exceptional and unusual (to say the least) wedding photos on his website are amazing, and also make you think, especially that one with a crossbow....
