Who are, if there even are any, reputable 3rd party extended warranty providers that members may have used in the past with good results?

US	Nikon service gave me a short list of service people in my area who could service my D70s. I suggest you contact them providing your zip code. After all, a good shop has to buy parts thus have an account with Nikon and a good one would be known by them as well.
