"D700 connection to an iPad"

US

Does anyone know how to connect a D700 to an iPad and use the iPad as a live view monitor. I have the Apple camera connection kit. But not sure if I need a special app or if the D700 has to be set with special settings in the menu.

The only thing I'm aware of is DSLR Camera Remote from onOne software. But your camera has to first be tethered to a computer running their software, then you can use live view and control your camera via your iPad. This doesn't sound like what you're looking for though.

Saw this on petapixel, seems to fit your requirements.

That looks pretty interesting, especially for macro work.
