Hi Guys,
My preferred focus option is AF ON only and the shutter set to release,

With the above custom settings, when using either wireless or cable release,

I'm guessing the camera will not try and re-focus?
Is that correct?

Yes so if you plan to stay in that mode you need to pre focus first.

Tks Bob,
I thought that may be the case, just wanted to make sure testing was correct
Have been checking out some focus issues and shooting with mirror-up etc,
I have my D700 in for a complete clean and sensor clean and also a focus check although I think nearly 4 years of dust may be the culprit,
