"Broken D700 Flash"

ELMVALE, CA

Broke my D700 on-board flash yesterday at a wedding. The flash still works, but the pins that run in the tracks of the 'pop-up' mechanism broke and now the flash won't close. Has anyone had one of these replaced? Any idea how much I'm looking at for a repair?

Hi Mike,

Since it is a common repair, your nearest Nikon Authorized Service Station should be able to give you an accurate estimate over the phone.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

Best Regards,
Marty

Sounds like you need to have the foot replaced. Typically an easy repair. Nikon Canada should be able to help.

(Just about any repair facility should be able to get that done for you, though, as long as they have the parts.)
