"Pulled the Trigger : D700 "

Plantation, US

Pulled the Trigger and my D700 arrived on Friday...

As I mentioned in my previous post....

Toto....we are not in Kansas any more Have come to the land of Oz

Seriously, what a beast in your hands with the Battery Pack.

Read, read, read, and read some more on this and the D800 forum...along with advice from my friends at the Atlanta Photography Guild where i participate...

Many of the pros are using the D700 and are quite happy...again, was concerned about the 800 and the file sizes and issue being discussed....but, everyone kept saying, while it's older technology...the D700 is a workhorse the Afficianado....

thanks all for the comments..

Will post some pics soon.....have two shoots next week in Atlanta...

Dino

I dont see any way you will ever be unhappy with your decision.

Im among those who hold the D800 in awe in the maybe someday category but when it finally came time to lay my money down I chose the D700.

I cant argure amazing resolution with the 800 owners, Ive seen macro shots where it looked like you could actulyy feel the subject. Id love that but there were too many other variables for me.

I love my D700. Its giving me fits reading up on stuff Ive ignored for years but its also fascinating and feels attainable.

If you havent already done it buy the Nikonian Press book Mastering the D700.
