"Dioptry correction D 700"

Hi colleague Nikonians,

-first time on the forum-

Could anyone help me out with the following question: what is the dioptry deviation (or distance from focus point inside the camera to the eye) for the Nikon D-700? Is there somewhere an overview of these deviations for Nikon cameras?

The reason is simple: I need eye surgery and want to decide which dioptry to get on my eye correction.

I guess the deviation is about -3, or about 30-35 cm. Is this correct?

Thank you in advance for your answers!
Kind regards,
Pascal

And the middle setting (default) is -1.

An undeniable paradox: To think that there is any such thing as an absolute rule is at worst naïve, and at best, shortsighted. There is no such thing as an always-true, all context- or situation-salient, absolute rule that always holds true…including this one!

Thank you very much!

I test several settings in cooperation with several contact lenses before deciding any further eye surgery.

Kind regards!
