I've been searching for one of these and it seems everyone is out of stock or back ordered. Cannot seem to find anything in the EH-5 family (a,b or c), from a trusted source. Any ideas what might be going on with this? Thanks in advance!!

There are 106 EH-5's listed right now on Ebay.
Not all are Nikon, but a fairly large number are.
You only need one afterall.
These sell for around $39 or so.

Mate,

I'm not sure if you already bought it. I just bought the EH-5 and it doesn't work on the D700. I don't know why. The Nikon website states that the compatible version is EH-5a. However, I can't find any differences between the two versions. Voltage output is the same. The connector fits the DC-IN port on the D700 body. So be careful with what you buy.

I recently purchased an EH-5b from B&H and it works fine with both my D700 and my D300

EH-5b does work. I think all three versions have the same voltage output. So they should all work with the D700. However, mine is defective. It has been confirmed by Nikon support. So I am in process to get my money back.

So far today, I've done all right. I haven't gossiped. I haven't lost my temper. I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or overindulgent. I'm very thankful for that. But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed ... and from then on, I'm probably going to need a lot more help.
