Hi everyone.
Sorry for the somewhat basic question. I have read the book and can’t find the answer to my question there. I can only get my buffer to go to a max of 18 before its full but on page 423 it says I should get a buffer capacity of 26 on the settings I have in my camera. I know on my old D200 I had to turn off a few things to get that to max out but on the D700 it doesn’t mater what I turn off or on it will not go about 18. Any help in this matter would be very help full..

how many pics the buffer can hold depends on the size of the pics. I have 12bit NEFs ranging in size from 10 (night shot) - 17MB (wheat field).

Nikon stipulates in the manual as well as in the catalogue that figures published are only estimates as they depend on what you shoot.
