Hey fellas, noob here and have only had the D700 for a week after upgrading from a 5DMKII.
Quick question, I have turned the shutter AF off and have focus set on the AF-ON button. I setup the camera press the AF-ON button get a confirmation bleep, run a bracketed burst using the interval time shooting option, yet the camera is trying to autofocus between the shots as I can hear the bleep going off.

Can you explain how you are doing the bracketed burst?
Are you using the bracketing option and just holding down the shutter release with the camera set to CH? I use that mode for bracketing for HDR quite often, and the camera does not try to autofocus between the shots. I've never done bracketing with the "interval time shooting option".

I was trying to get away from having to flick the switch next to the lens between shots, i know this will turn off the AF.
For HDR I dont want to be touching the camera at all if I can avoid it, that means the shutter button.............thats why i have been trying to use the interval timer, which works fine, but the camera will auto-focus in between the brackets
