"hahnel Remote with D700?"

Has anyone used the hahnel Pro Remote Control (HW 433 N80) with their D700? I haven't been able to get mine to fire the camera, though everything seems to be hooked up properly, and the lights come on and blink, etc., as the instructions indicate that they should.

According to the package the remote is compatible with a number of Nikon cameras, including the D700. Any clues as to what is going on would be appreciated. Thanks very much!

I don't have a D700, but I do have a Hahnel Pro remote and it fires my D2x and D3 just fine.

Thanks, Brian.

I've been over it and over it, and I can't see what's going wrong. The batteries are fresh, everything is turned on, the lights blink as they should ... but pressing the button doesn't fire the camera.

I tried it with my D300 this afternoon, same story.

I know this is an old thread, but I too thought something was wrong with my Hähnel HW 433 80. Even after reading the instructions, I didn't heed the instructions to securely connected the two cables so that it CLICKS! You really have to use more force than expected to get the two connectors to click into place.
