I'm probably 6 months to a year away from a D700 but I'm still interested in the performace of 3rd party lenses, Sigma EX and Tokina AT-X Pro in particular. I also own AF Nikkors from 20-300 and AF Nikkor Zooms 24-120VR and 70-300VR.

I just purchased my D700 and as much as I would like the Nikon 24-70 or the 14-24 it is not in the budget until I sell my 17-55...so I am using a Sigma 24-70 2.8 that I had purchased used a couple of years ago. These four shots were taken with it (nothing spectacular..just having fun with the camera):
