Unllke a few lucky people here i won't be receiving my D700 this week! I will get it next week! It would have been today if the dozy so and so at my local Camera emporium had told the assistant manager they had arrived in the warehouse like he told him to! Missed the delivery slot by fifteen minutes so it'll arrive in store on Monday! No big deal really except that I'm off to Cornwall for the week early Monday morning! I can't change my train booking so it'll pass me somewhere in the Lune gorge going in the opposite direction on monday morning! Would have loved to try it out on a few Cornish sunrises but it's not to be! For all those that already have one, i'm sooo Jealous!

I know how you feel.

The warehouse guy at my local store's head office somehow missed the D700 bodies that were to be shipped to my town. It was too late to ship today when I finally got the right person to solve the problem. Mine will be shipped on Monday and be in my hands on Tuesday.

At least my local dealer promised me a free "gift" to make up for the delay. I sure could use an MB-D10 (fat chance of getting that free).

I don't have a relationship with this dealer, the one I dealt with for 20 years recently closed. I'll see how this purchase works out. It will definately influence where I shop for my future Nikon gear.
