"NA Workshops 2007 - Venues"

San Pedro Garza García, MX

(in the next message of this thread) the specific venues where they will be held.

If you don't see the city area of your workshop(s) below, it is simply because we still don't have the venue locked. Please be patient.

Please note: We say "city area", because the exact location of the venue may be outside the city, in an effort to balance costs and convenience for attendees, out of congested traffic. For example, workshops in the Washington, DC area may likely be held in neighboring Maryland.

To buy your seat(s) at these NA Workshops visit our new Nikonians Academy platform:

Amazingly this one post is the only reference to actual locations for these workshops I've found. I had searched for this info to allow me to offer assistance to a fellow Nikonian when he came to town for his 'shops and could not find this post at that time. It would seem the locations should be with the listing of seminars to allow participants to best plan their needs and transportation to attend.
To merely say a seminar is in the Chicago 'area' still could leave a place inaccessible to even some residents and for someone to commute in to a class needs location info to arrange schedule and itinery plans.

PS the Helix store being used for the Chicago seminars is just west of the downtown next to the Eisenhower Expressway. There is good parking in their 2 lots (entered on Jackson, round the corner from the main entrance on Racine...it is a one way eastbound) and on street. You can also easily take the Blue Line 'El' train...tho the train is actually below surface street level in the median of the Expressway...so you could fly in to O'Hare, catch the El and ride it thru the 'loop' right to the class, or stay by the airport at one of OJ's fav motels (sorry, for the old news challenged that's where he stayed as the LAPD investigated his wifes death) and just allow appx 25-35 minutes for the train ride. Even Midway is fairly accessible by transfering from elevated to subway in the downtown (it's a good hike if you just hop off the el and walk). And if your anywhere else in the city access is also relatively easy by transit or car.
Oh and check out the store after the class and check out their selection, used and new as well as a studio and digital counter make it a nice place to drool over widgets and stuff.

Is the Helix store where the 11/8/07 D-200 workshop is to be held? I am getting zero information from anyone or anything. Thanks for whatever help you might provide.

Thanks, Mike. I saw the listing, but as it was for several days, I wasn't sure if it included the one-day D200 workshop. Looking forward to it.

Mike, I can't find anything, anywhere, on the Olympic Peninsula trip. There's no mention of it at Nikonians.org, nor at NikoniansAcademy.com. I asked about this in the Nikonians Meet forum and got no replies.

Is it a stealth trip? If you tell me where to sign up you have to kill me kind of thing?

I would like to sign up for the hot air balloon in AZ for October 2008 whenever you get the details set. My wife has been trying to get me there for years and I guess I'll have to take her along on this one. If you can send me an email with details as they are solidified, I will then go online to sign up.

I also am interested in workshops in the DC/Maryland area, specifically on Nikon flash and the new D300 digital body.

Thanks,

Norm (carlysgranddad)

I just joined the Nikonians and will be upgrading to Silver after the Holiday, anyhow I just purchased a D200, I also have a D70s SB600 and SB800 flashes.

I am truly in over my head on the D200 and perhaps photography (currently reading a book on the basics), however I have taken and sold a great many shots thanks to the quality of shots from both Cameras.

However being in New Hampshire, USA I have yet to find any training academy focussed on my Cameras especially the D200 and I get snubbed by other users of the camera I have met while out shooting. So any chance over the winter there will be another academy in the Boston area? Thanks

My site for photos right now is www.dhdphotos.photoreflect.com if any one wants to check out my online porfolio, or check out the shooting I am focussed on...by the way difficult to shoot in at times I have shot 1500 photos in one race weekend and had only 413 good shots
