How DAM'd are you? And how is it linked to your edits?
I ask, because if the info can be embedded in the image, or if it can produce sidecar XMP files, you can import into Lightroom and it will allow searching and organization on those things.
If you've got lots of other structure in the DAM... well, no idea.
Lightroom is cheap and ubiquitous now, and not bad as a DAM-lite.
