"Best Sharpening Software"

I am looking for a plug in or stand alone sharpening software. What are your favorites? I have used Photokit Sharpener for years, but they appear to be a marginal business at this point. I have not had good response from them and am looking for a replacement.

I use Lightroom 3, and as I understand it Photokit sharpener routines are the basis of LR3 sharpening.

This deals with my Capture and output sharpening.

For selective/creative sharpening I use the adjustment brush in LR3.

For more advanced work Photoshop and/or focus Magic

Nik Sharpener Pro works well, with lots of options if you want to use them. If you buy it as part of the Complete Collections, you also get some other fine plug-ins.

For web display and sharpening large volumes of 4x6 snap shot prints I like to use Photokit Sharpener 2. For serious printing at large sizes The Plug-In Site's FocalBlade is my go to Photoshop plug-in sharpener.

Thanks Ernesto,

I would like to continue using Photokit Sharpener 2, which I paid for in January. However, I upgraded from CS 4 to CS 5. As a result, I have lost the ability to access Photokit Sharpener 2 in Photoshop. I have restored plug ins from Nik, Topaz, and On One software (Perfect Resize) successfully. However Pixel Genius has not been able to tell me how to install PKS2. If anyone has a way to do this, I would really appreciate help, as I generally like it. I am running it on a Mac with the latest version of Snow Leopard.
