"Photoshop CS3 and protecting(watermarking?) images"

before I place my most cherished images out there on the web on my website, does anybody have any strategies or ideas about protecting images so that no one lifts them or steals them and starts selling them ? is there a function under CS3 to embed a watermark or some kind of timebomb that cripples the image or anything like that?
or maybe some kind of add-on plug-in to Photoshop ? thanks Nikonians!

While you can embed watermarks and add copyright notices into your EXIF data fields, the best protection is to limit the resolution of the images you post and for photos that truly have commercial value to be sure you actually submit the copyright to the Government. You can also limit the ability to download files, or place them in Flash. Other than that, anyone could copy your file, and strip out the copyright data.
