"Nikon Capture 4.1 & 4.1.2"

Pakenham, AU

I'm hoping a nikonian somewhere in the world can help.
I have just installed a new computer and am in the process of loading the software which I use. I have been trying to install Nikon Capture 4.1 (and update to 4.1.2 which is on the same purchased software) and it all appears to install correctly. I restart the computer, and then attempt to open Capture, however the whole system then closes down with no fault references at all.
Can anuone shed any light on my problem??? Please????

Hi,

I had the same problem but it appears to have fixed itself. Installed 4.1 on Windows Media Centre edition and when attempting to run it got the blue screen of death. Upgraded it to 4.4 and the same thing happened.

One of the following fixed it but I'm not sure which:
1. Reinstalled Nikon view after installing Capture
2. Installed the trial version of Capture NX
3. After the Capture NX update, ran windows update which applied some patches to the .net framework installed with Nikon Capture.

Hope this helps...

Richard
