Except for resolution, I can't see much difference side by side in LR5.

This is purely image quality/noise comparison with noise reduction turned off in LR. The images come from Imaging Resource where they take RAW images under as close to the exact same conditions of the same scene as they can.

I find that the fine grained noise level at ISO3200 essentially looks the same. LR5 is a great comparison tool for this.
