"50 foot Nikon spotted around the planet!"

no, it wasn't a plane, but as big and explicit a bit of product placement I can remember for just about anything, let alone a camera, when the big screen at our local multiplex was filled with a top of the range Nikon body with fast zoom and speedlight in the hands of Lois Lane as she explored the Arctic in "Man of Steel".
After taking some shots in almost the dark, she gave us a good look at the monitor of her D3s, and as if to show how robust it is, clonked it down without much care whilst climbing towards the audience to almost fill the screen with camera.
The camera is certainly more "in your face" than Dennis Hoppers collection in Apocalypse Now or Jimmy Olson's in Superman The Movie, but I wouldn't go to see Man of Steel just for that though. We really enjoyed it, although personally I would have liked it to be in "full" colour rather than washed out hues, and missed the big John Williams score.
