Nice idea but so far I'm not impressed. It says my 135mm f/2.0 DC Nikkor doesn't have an aperture ring and has an internal focusing motor.

I'm not going to check every lens I own,(I know what I've got so I don't need to look it up) but when the only one I did check is that far off, I'm not sure I would trust the information for lenses that I do not own.

Of course they may be counting on users doing their homework for them and pointing out their errors, but that would be just lazy for someone that claims they are experts.

Yes, I do too and in fact he was highly delighted when I informed him of a lens s/n he was unaware of.

However, I shall give the database time and see how it improves.

Also claims the 28mm f2.8 AFD doesn't have an aperture ring despite the picture showing it quite clearly does - I would hazard that this mistake is repeated throughout...

D2Xs + AF20-35mm f2.8 + AF35-70mm f2.8 + AF80-200mm f2.8
