"Retro Nikon?"

Recently I purchased a F4 in great shape for a great price for the times I want to use 35mm. Well after handling and using the camera for awhile I am a huge fan of the set up. Everything you need to set can be done on the camera without having to navigate thru menus or use and LCD. What I like even better is the fact that I can change settings without having to take my eye from the viewfinder. Plus the camera is really built like a tank! Why can't Nikon go retro and offer a D-SLR set up the same way. I realize that it would probaly be costly but I think that it would be well recieved by most working pros and amateurs alike. I love digital but would like to have the best of both worlds.

Well, with at least the D200 (and I'm sure D2 series) you can pretty much do that once you have the initial setup you like.

Yep, this is why I bought a D200. It feels and shoots like a film camera.
