"Street Gear?"

I read an article by some guy who described his F90X plus standard zoom as his "fast and dirty" kit (his description) which I took to mean the kit he ALWAYS carries with him regardless of wherever he is. This set me wondering - "What do other photogs never leave home without?" Personally my FE2 coupled with a 50mm f1.8 and loaded with Neopan 400 B&W film seems to be permanently attached to my shoulder/hand. Work collegues have even stopped making comments so used to it they have become.
So what do the rest of you never leave home without?
Just Interested
Regards
Alex

Believe it or not: a $10 rollei XF 35 (with sonnar 2,3/40 lens rather attached to it) loaded with Ilford 125 b/w film

=)

Mike,

I do believe it! I have two please-take-me-with-you cameras that live in the car: an Olympus 35ECR loaded with colour negative, and a Rollei 35S loaded with HP5. My Nikon EM was too big to fit under the seat. And guess what? By the time I've realized that something looked interesting enough to photograph, I've usually driven 25km past it!

What I REALLY need is a hat with a built-in camera and a brain with a faster processor...

haha!

funny that you should mention the EM: I just bought one today to compliment my rollei =))

(it came with a 50mm nikkor-E, for $80)

it's now loaded with superia 400, though the light meter seems to be stuck.. need to get that fixed. (also, need to buy a seperate lightmeter anyway)

Long live 20+ year old cameras for robustness =)

Generally, my Minox IIIs (about 75% of the time) or an unmetered F2 with a 35/2 or a 45GN. The Minox is great for when you don't expect to shoot, basically being the photographic equivalent of a .25 pocket pistol - it's better than having no camera at all. (Actually, I'm a submini enthusiast...)

Hi Alex,

My "Daily Driver" is a Voightlander Bessa R with a 35mm f1.7. So darn much fun to shoot I don't want to leave it behind.

will
