I have never been to Yosemite and seen pictures of Fall there and it is absolutely amazing.. I am interested to go there with another fellow nikonian.. Is there such a group already or where can I get some more information?

I am also thinking of going to Yosemite this fall (end of October or first week of November). I have been to Yosemite before (2 days) and would like to stay about 4 days this time. I live in Los Angeles and would drive from there. Plese reply to this group. Perhaps another Nikonian(s) would be interested?

By the way, I have been to Eastern Sierra. It is a very nice area to visit, but the scenery is quite different.

Yosemite is not a good place to visit during the summer. Too many tourists and no water coming off Yosimite Falls.

Most of the fall colors are not in Yosemite Valley specifically. There is some, but very little. The annual Yosemite in Fall workshop has been switched to Yosemite in Infrared due to the expectations workshop participants have about the level of fall colors versus what they actually see in the Valley.

The peak of fall colors in the Sierra Nevada does occur in the Eastern Sierra region from near Yosemite's Tioga Pass south to Bishop. The annual workshop in the Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley sells out nearly nine months in advance, but this year we have just added five additional seats since the sell-out; four seats still remain.
