@Antero yea! hehehe what can i tell you, is my homeland... those places where you are completed, where you can disconect from the busy city and its sounds, shouts, noise, rush... i love to stay there hehe and i think it should appear in pics hehe
@Scottie you're right! i would too! but i couldn't hehehe this place is a velley and there are about 3km between tree and me. i used everything i have hehe 70-200 set up at 200mm + tc2III as results 400mm and no possibilities to stay closer... and this is the result without cropping. there are one thing i could do (but other day hehe) wich is to get there with other lenses... maybe a 50mm or 20mm but this will be another pic hehe i'll show you! promised!
@Aart i'm glad you think that hehe. i told Scottie the reason about tree size... i couldn't do nothing
@KenL thankyu for the ad! i don't understand too much this huge forum and i get lost sometimes surfing on it hehehe i've seen the contest! i'll try! thanks Ken!!
It's hard to discern the lower black border on this image when viewing in the black Nikonians skin, so I switched to white (adding a small white border around your image might help).
Overall, I think this image is very nicely balanced - and the small tree provides the perfect contrast to establish scale, set against the much larger, vast landscape. Your minimalist approach works very well.
I love the colors, although I'd be curious how much saturation you added above and beyond what was really found in the scene? This is your vision and you need to decide how much is too much based on the reality that you are trying to present. Without having been there or seeing the original, I'm not necessarily saying you should change things at all - it's just something to think about. This is certainly a consideration should you choose to print and/or exhibit this.
I think this is an appealing image and nicely captured!
@Dave yea! could work! maybe the next time hehe for this one i prefer with the tree hehe
@Dan yes you're right. i usually post in spanish forums that have a white (or bright at least) background where the border in black works well, but i didn't realise here not hehe
about the post procesing and saturation i may say that i didn't add any saturation hehehe was not necesary hehehe. my grand father told me the secret. underexposure. that mades the tree black and the sky too colorful. in fact, in edition i only changed a little bit the tones of above, because where too green and i had to touch them in photoshop to make them blue, adding magenta and removing yellow (i can't remember if i add some black... i'm not sure now... sorry) but all this just in a layer with not red colours hehe. after that, in whole pic i applyed a level layer to get more contrast and just that
saturation is due to underexposure hehe
i can upload the original if you want to see it
thanks for comment Dan and nice to read your point! (forums worth for this)
@Gousios thanks for looking mate!
@Jean-luc yes i should! i'm gonna do it and show you then, but to be honest, i've never done a photo frame and i don't know how will it be hehehe
