"New to the photo world"

LAST EDITED ON Aug-03-01 AT 05:58 AM (GMT)

Hello All,
I purchased a N80 several months ago and am really getting into photgraphy (I had some pics turn out good with a friends manual camera and me thinks I have some talent). I would like to get into macro photography and any help that I can get would be greatly appreciated. I have the following equipment:
N80
Sigma 28-80mm D (came with camera)
Sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 APO Macro Super (got a few days ago)
VELBON VGB-3 Tripod (Dad gave it to me)
various COKIN filters

What other equipment would I need?

Thank you in advance for assisting a struggling amature.
David

Thanks for the info it gives me a good heads up on what lenses I need to be looking at. Do you reccomend fixed length lenses for zoom lenses for macro?

Take a chance it may be the only one you get

I have never tried the 70-180mm micro Nikkor to make a comment with any authority in either direction, however, by being a zoom it has larger apertures than any of the primes which, for that reason, I would favor.
