I was chasing some Wrens around a prickly shrub with my D300s, 300mm F/4D & 1.4TC, all mounted on a monopod. I spotted this guy soaking up the morning sun & took a couple of quick shots....Scotty.

Thanks Scotty. It's strange that natural selection produces a creature almost identical to one in the UK yet so many of the animals in your part of the world are unique. Are there other insects similar to European ones? Perhaps they come in on freak air currents?
