"Lizzy"

Plano, US

Had this visitor near my home and quickly grabbed a shot. I love the dappled light around it which add more to the creepiness of this creature.

C&C welcome
Suresh

Good capture Suresh, I like the colouring and mottled appearance. I wonder if it might look a bit better if you cropped with more space to the left of it?

Thanks for your comments Graham. I thought about the Crop on the left, but then thought anyways the picture is OOF there so wont really be a distraction. But you may be right. I will try that.

Nice pic, one that would benefit from focus stacking though. Think it would have held still long enough to do a stack? What were your camera/lens settings?

George

George. Thanks for looking out and commenting. This guy was quite restless and not sure if he appreciates a Paparazzi around in his area. He did not pose much!

I used a D300S with Nikkor 105mm VR. I think the camera was in Manual mode around F8-F11 and about 1/60s. Not much light around as it was under shadows.

Sensational. I like how it emerges from the gloom in Technicolor!
