D700, Tamron 90/2.8 Macro, ISO 800, f/11, 1/1600 (I was handholding, and there was wind)
More surprising to me is the 28-300 in the same exercise:
D700, 28-300VR @ 300, ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/1000 (same wind!). The bokeh is nothing worth looking at, but the lens can focus closer than I expected! I just cropped to square, and the flower is about 20mm or 4/5s of an inch wide: that is not quite 1:3, if I am not mistaken!
