"What focussing screen to use in F3HP for macro work"

Tapan Mallik

Currently I use a B screen - which is inconvenient (to me) at close range focussing. Is there any other screen, that is better for Macro work. I generally shoot flowers and insects. I have trouble with close focussing the flowers.

I use a Tamron 90/2.8 macro lens - great lens.

Thanks

There are a total of 23 types of focusing screens available. Each was created with a specific purpose in mind. Maybe a K would be better than the B for macro purposes.
For a more complete explanation take a look at our friend Leo Foo´s page on the F3 and F3HP screens.

Hmmm... I use a B screen almost exclusively for macrophotography. If you aren't getting enough light through it, you might want to try the C or D screen. I don't use a K, because I have problems with the center going black under low light conditions. Good luck.
