"Into the Valley of Fire"

US

Not a particularly great shot - bad time of day and with my "beater Nikon and lense". But Valley of Fire must be a great place to visit during the 'magic hour" of light....unfortunately I was there mid-day in 115 degree heat. Was hoping to get there again this November but not this time...

D50, 28-70 3.5-4.5, iso 200, f/8, 1/250, PP in LR.

Thanks Tom - looks like I may be in Vegas for a Conference in November after all - if so I'll try either Red Rock or VoF.

Most of us never get to shoot during optimum hours of the day. But what your image and others like it does for me is to allow me to see places on earth that are unique and beautiful that I would never get to visit in person. Thanks for sharing.

I would love to see more like this. While in Las Vegas last Christmas, I did the Red Rock drive. Unfortunately, I did not have a Nikon camera at that time, so I had to take my photos using an Olympus point and shoot. Now I want to go back with the Nikon and do it all over again. Thanks for posting this photo.
