This is a beautiful scene. My comments relate to two issues. One is the bench. I doesn’t look like “deep in the woods to me”, more like a park.

The other issue relates to processing. I think you’ve sharpened the photo quite a bit. If this is so, I kind of like the effect above the waterline, where the sharpening-induced halos (if that’s what they are) give the photo an ethereal look. But below the waterline, particularly in the reflection of the grasses, the sharpened wavelets look overprocessed and look too busy to me. Overall, a very nice photo.

Hi Antero,

thank you very much for your critique of this photo.
The photo was taken in the Bavarian Forest after an about four hour walk through sheer wilderness.

The processing was intenionally. I am aware that this is not the taste of everyone. Sometimes I do things like this
