Great images. I like #1 the most with the soft, misty looking water.

Nice images! The first one looks like it was shot from the bridge at the end of the "loop" section of the Avalanche Lake trail.

Our trip to Glacier in 2010 was my first real outing with my then-new D90. A shot of Avalanche Creek similar to yours was my first-ever attempt to slow down the water with an ND filter. You can see that image, plus a few other goodies from our Glacier trip, in my Nikonians gallery.

I definitely need to go back there! Unfortunately, son and daughter-in-law no longer live in Missoula...

Thank you Dave. Nice to hear from you.

You have the general location right, but my vantage point was not the actual bridge, it was lower and getting there riskier than I care to discuss.
I will check out your images.

My nephew is going to school in Missoula, which is an easy drive to GNP.

Dave,
Just saw your images. Very nice.
I have others on my website cabreraphoto.smugmug.com. The GNP gallery is on the the lower right. I should post them in my Nikonians gallery but have not had the time.

My wife is from Rochester. We were just in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago. You live in a very nice area.
