"Joshua Tree Yucca"

San Diego, US

I have been reworking some older images since I upgraded to LR5 and PS CC. With this image, I experimented with the radial filter to highlight the Yucca and make it even more prominent. I like that effect, unfortunately the clouds are clipped, but I like the overall effect.

Thanks for looking.

Ron

I did some rework to the burned out area of the clouds at the suggestion of a reply I got to the image. Here is a revised version that I think looks better.

Thanks for looking.

Nice image. However, I like the Yucca in the first image. Seems it was toned down along with the clouds in the second.

Ken-

I agree. Still learning how to use the radial filter. An updated version of the image to follow. Thanks for looking and commenting.

I like the second, and the rework of the clouds is excellent. The first is too strong on the yucca - but I generally like the more subtle approach to PP.

DaddySS-

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate that you took the time to look and respond. PP can get to strong in a hurry if I don't pay attention.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the comments. This is, and several other images I have, are still works in progress. I am updating the processing on several images with LR5 and PS CC tools. I appreciate your input.
