This lens and this camera are a marriage made in heaven! I received the lens during a recent trip to Capitol Reef National Park. I put it on my D800 to try it out, and it never came off the camera for the rest of the trip. The lens is tack sharp, and the size and balance are absolutely perfect for a D700-D800 size body. My 70-200mm F2.8 has always resided in my camera bag and only been pulled out for special and specific shots because of its size and weight. The F4 version just stayed on the camera through heat, cold, wind -- shooting from the vehicle or hiking and climbing. This lens is just what I've been waiting for all these years...
