We went to Oregon to attend my niece's high school graduation last week. In between events I was able to sneak away a couple of times to make some images. Here is one of my favorites from those quick trips. The clouds, bright sky and reflections in the water made this stand out. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for the nice words about the image. To answer your question--image was made with D800E, 24-120 f/4 at ISO 100, 1/200 sec. @ f/11 with -1/3 exposure comp. Hand held. I really like the 24-120 VR in situations like this. In the right light it is extremely easy to handhold and get good results.
Thanks for the comments on the image. As I said, it is always fun to go to Oregon and make images. There seem to be a lot available for the taking. Fortunately we have family there and I go fairly often. Always a good time.
Ron, This is a wonderful shot although not the best time of the day. Just curious, were you on a boat to take this shot? I am allergic to over saturated photo's but I think this can do with just a little more saturation.
Thanks for looking at my image and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.
You are right about the time of day. It was late morning and the light was a little harsh. I was standing on the very edge of this water when I made the image. One more step and I would have had wet feet. I will try a version of the image that is more saturated and see what that looks like. Thanks for the idea.
