Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve is about 45 miles SE of Columbus, OH. It is a beautiful area with wild flowers in the spring, waterfalls and great color in the fall. It was so dark in this spot I had to use a higher iso than I normally prefer and still had to take 3 exposures for processing in NIK HDR Efex Pro2.

Thanks Claudia, This image is a good example of what can be accomplished when you live close to spot and can return on a regular basis to study the light and learn what works best. I am blessed that this area is less than 1 hour from my home. Dave

Hi Dave, I love this image. Im finding I react to a picture instantly. I either get a not my taste, thats nice, or I want to go to there. Its only after that reaction a really analyze why I have that reaction. Your image instantly hit me with the latter response. Its the tones that strike me here and the tranquility. The water is perfect to the point I can hear it. This is one of those places Id like to spend several hours. I hope you stayed a while. Wonderful image. Mark.
