Here are a few shots with the new Nikkor 70-200 f/4 on my recent trip (2/25-2/27) to Death Valley. These are mostly along US-395 (or in one case, returning to it). C&C welcome....

It's a beautiful stretch of land along that road. Nice job capturing some of it. How are you liking that new lens?Cheers!Claudia

Nice images, Michael. I wish I had time to do a road trip through Death Valley. AnthonyThe Moderator Page and My GalleryThe important things in life are simple; the simple things are hard.
I especially like #4.Are you using a polarizer? # 1 - #3 might benefit from one.Thanks for sharing.
>I especially like #4.>Are you using a polarizer? # 1 - #3 might benefit from one.>>Thanks for sharing. You guessed it -- I only used the polarizer in #4. I'm still getting used to having it in my camera bag, and didn't think of it on the way south...
#4 stands above the rest for me. Good lighting, sharpness and composition.
Same here. All nice shots but that last one really jumps out.

love that last shot!!
Great weather!Number one, heading south from either Reno (I-80) or Salisbury Grade (Tahoe/Carson City) I only say that because it looks like Kingsbury Grade road is at the base, far right. (near Gardnerville?) Number two, Antelope Valley, Topaz Lake, (parents retired in Walker).Number three, on the highway side near Lee Vining looks very low (water table) second bad year in a row, only 60% of snow pack so far.Number four, Hwy 136, nearing the lower Owens and Lone Pine. Please correct me if I'm wrong, this is an ENVY post, not a vanity one.Very nice lens! Thanks,Rob
