"Dry Canyon Trail in Lindon Utah"

This is one of the things I love about living in Orem. Drive around a nice subdivision in Lindon and you run into a trail head out of the clear blue. This is Dry Canyon. The entrance to the trail head from Lindon is gated off for the winter because of snow. But you can park your car and walk ... and what a great spot for a couple hour hike. I've been told there is some concern by hikers of running into a big cat here...and there are photos of them at the trail head. I walked about a mile up before heading back.

Nikon D800E Nikon 24-120 f4 iso 400 1/500 at f 16 converted to black and white with Silver Efex Pro 2.

You find scenes like this everywhere just driving around town. Don't even have to go out of your way ... great place to live for a while.

Thanks Emory,

This is one of the most scenic parts of the country I've ever seen. So much to see and do around here. Really enjoyed watching the Fall turn to Winter and finding places like this to photograph.

This is an amazing place. This canyon runs down to a street in a very nice subdivision. I should have taken a wide shot to show how close it is to some very nice homes. The people who live nearby have a wonderful view and a very nice spot to hike.

Yup... Provo Canyon is just a few minutes drive from here as well...Squaw Peak Road, Bridal Veil Falls, Alpine Loop, and Nebo Loop are all less than a half hour easy drive from the hotel. Not to mention all of the canyon trails like this one just up the street along the east edge of town. Couldn't have picked a better place to be assigned on project.

This is probably the most scenic canyon in the Orem area. Really enjoyed hiking here.
