Dan: I like the BW approach for a forest landscape, but for me and this applies only to me, there's a lack of contrast and hard to define subject. The leaves for instance aren't readily discernible as leaves, but are light to mid-toned masses. The trunks are just a small part of the image, and only the left most one is large enough to show a bit of detail. As a whole, the image appears a bit soft and mostly mid-toned. Please feel free to tell me to take a hike. Richard
