"Fishing Boat in the Sacramento Delta"

I drive this route thru the Delta region on good photo days to get from Antioch back to Lodi. Lots of water and potential for good landscapes. Found this fishing boat docked along the waterway and some nice clouds filling the sky.

D300S Nikon 24-120 f4 manual settings ISO 640 1/400 at f9 44mm handheld White balance set for sunny.

this is a photo rich environment...anywhere you drive you find something different to shoot...water, snow, fields, cliffs, all within an hours drive of where I'm staying for this project...great spot.

Lots of places out here where you can get away from the traffic and enjoy the weather. The Delta is huge and has a much different look northwest of this location in the wine region. Lots of wildlife here too. Great place to explore.

I've driven thru miles and miles of the Delta here in the Valley and there's still lots to see. Funny to find things like this just plunked down in the middle of nowhere. The owner of this boat could get all the way to San Francisco and the Pacific from this location..that would be some trip. Be great to tag along with the camera some weekend.
