"Sunflowers"

I shot these sunflowers in my yard. With a Nikon F100 and a Nikon 105mm macro lens. This is my favorite lens.

Great shots. Second is my favorite. I covet that lens and it is such a bargain right now at $509 USD new from B&H.

The second one is my favorite, too. The 105 micro is a great lens and $509 is a steal. I bought it used for $400 a while ago. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to give it a good workout.

Wow, I really like the first one. The second and third aren't showing as much detail in the petals, but that could just be the jpeg compression. The first looks almost "painterly" in the richness of color. The very slight underexposure really makes the sunflower dramatic against the background.
