"D70 sea pictures lacking contrast"

Hi

I am a new user of D70 and enjoy it. I have a few problems when shooting scenes with sea. They lack contrast and I need to modify them with Nikon Capture.

The links below show pictures 640*480 with max size 54Kb.

Any idea of the problem.
- Wrong setting? need custom curve?
I usually shot in Program mode, ISO 200, WB Sun -3, EV +1/3 if polarizer or -1/3 if no polarizer, landscape mode
- Wrong filter?
I have heard of ND filter but not sure it could solve my issue.

You probably should have posted this in the D70 forum. You can increase the contrast in camera if you go to optimizing images menu and then go to custom. From there you can increase or decrease contrast to your preference.
